UNKNOWN PROBLUM (accelerator makes the humm worse)
#22
Hey the problem you are having is engine noise. its actualy comming from your 4ch amp. there are many reasons why this could be happening. bad ground on amp, bad ground on the battery. the main reason most people have this problem is because they run the rca's on the same side as the power wire. i hope this helps a bit but if you wish we can check the problem for you. we usualy only charge $30 to figure it out. please feel free to contact us with any questions.

(selective sound) all my power wires are run on my driver side, and all my aux are run on my passanger side. both amps are grounded individualy, and the ground on my battery is brand new (new car, and i jus went out and checked and its fine) i think it is either my head unit or my aux cables, as its the only 2 things i havint replaced yet haha

Whoa - Fonthill!
You're a 10 minute drive from me! Do you want me to swing by and see if I can help you trace the problem?
One thing I can easily help you do in person is determine the source of the hum. Basically all of the stuff that John Vroom mentioned, I can walk through that with you. An extra set of eyes and hands can be handy with these annoying problems. Let me know.

Borrow some quality (not kwality) amps and retest, what, this is 3 times I have mentioned this now..... You need to start with the amps I hate to say. Noise is a step by step solution.

Yeah it is 3 times . . . I don't have a quality amp he can borrow, but I do have an amp that has never given me any noise problems for the 3 years I've had it. I just took it out of my car last week to install a bigger amp. If he needs that for testing, I can help him with that . . .
