Using a Wireless Control box to turn on My amplifiers
Hey guys how it going, i got a question to bug with you all
i bough this device named RM04 it basically a 4 channel wireless control both
1 input to power the unit, 4 output to control any device
i want to use 2 of the channels to turn on and off my amplifier
how would i go about hooking this up?.
I though of running relays but no idea how i would do it??
Do i do positive to positive of the relay , negative to negative of relay
then 12 volt source to the relay
and then remote wires from relay to amplifier?

if this is the unit: http://www.svc.com/rm04.html
then you do not need any relay. The spec says it can switch 6 amps.
Why do you want to use 2 channels? you only need 1 of the 4 channels.
I have not found any manual though. The indications on the box are confusing to say the least.
where do you get 12 volts from? like the same place you get 12 volts for your amp. Remember to fusu it.
This does seem like a lot of work for a remote amp turn on. Why did you not connect it to your HU antenna connection?
seems like you
1: connect the 12 volt IN to 12 volt power in your car
2: connect the 12 volt in GRND to chassis ground
3: use the each of the four 12 volt out and 12 v ground out as your amp remote signal. In your car all 5 grounds would be connected together anyway. Remember to insulate any unused 12 volt outs so they dont short
If your amp does not have any remote turn on, or if it is for something else like 120v. then use one of the 12volt out and ground out wires to power the relay coil... swithch whatever you want with the contacts.

i cant figure out how to do the amp since their only a 12+ that goes to it and no ground to go along with it.

OK then, You use the 12 volt out from the wireless remote to the relay coil, and the relay will control the same as the switch you currently have.. You can put the relay contacts in series with the switch.

where do i put the ground then?? it doesnt seem to work without grounding it
