Wire A Sub in without amp
#8
Could you? Yes. Should you? No.
Most subwoofers require quite a bit more power to drive their coils than an average speaker cone. If you are talking about a 6" woofer from a component set that is a little different. These can be run off of a solid head unit but remember, you are losing any high frequencies, all you will get is bass tones and no "music" per se.

Hey I was wondering, could I bridge a 2 channel amp that has 180watts per channel into one channel and run my sub off that and my speakers powered by the receiver? How would I connect my amp to the receiver, btw the receiver I have is a Panasonic CQ-RX100u. Thanks for all the help!
