what kind of car is that setup in and also what layer of birch ply you using. Sick looking box buddy.

 

The car is an 01 eclipse.... The birch is only 5 ply. Cant find anything better locally. Home Depot has 11 ply handy panels but I needed larger peices to make this box. Thanks

 

They have 13-ply 2' x 4' Russian Birch handy panels at my local HD too. They're freaking $30 per panel.

Looks like I'm going MDF + resin. I can't justify spending that much just on wood.

 

I just bought birch 11 ply for 44 each 4x8' sheet, but was at a local plywood shop, probably you can will find those easily.

 

I paid 40 a sheet for the 5 ply and thats 20 cheaper than it usually is

Small Update....

Wont have amps in until Carlisle... car is torn apart to run all the new speaker wire for the doors. Heres the rundown of whats going in them

Each Door will have:

(4) Selenium Pro 6W4P's (6 inch woofers)
(4) Selenium Pro ST304's (4 inch super tweeters)

Just started the doors today here are a few pics:



Hoping to start putting them together tommorrow night.

 

woah...that's a lotta speakers in each door. You're gonna bust the spot welds all over that poor car!

 

Got some work done on the door... alot and I mean alot of sanding!
