I have a Alpine Type X 10" and need to create a custom box. I am a little clueless to making a good ported box. I have a 1000w rms alpine V12 amp running it. Please give me some tips to create a sweet box, diagrams would be nice.

I got the same problem you do!! I just bought a new truck and I need a new box as well. I'm going ported as well and i got the specs for the sub off the Alpine website, you just gotta click on the Users Manual on the top right of the page on this link.

I used to have a sealed enclosure built to spec, it sounded good but it wasnt really loud, so thats why im saying ported is the way to go. I also have an Alpine mrd1001 amp powering this thing and it sounds awesome.

 

Hey i have looked at that, but i wanna make it square ported and i still dont understand. how wide should it be made, how long and how deep. Also can the square port be built using the side of the box?

to tell u the truth, i had someone off this forum give me the specs and i just got my cousin to make me the box. its got the port on the end of the box like ur saying. its called an ABC enclosure.
