k i checked out the subs but something doesn't make sense to me...
quote from URL

"Pyle PLWB12D 12"

Overall Diameter: 10.16'' "

lol i'd look into it a lil more.. cuz if overall diameter it 10.16" then it definitly will not be a 12" sub

Question

Ah, the joy of off-brand audio.......sigh

Pyle's website is no help whatsoever....... this link has no info that would help you determine what size enclosure to use for these woofers.....

I'm not sure why you need to build 2 boxes.....I'd put them both in 1 box around 2.5cuft total, tune 'em to 32hz and pray.

Better yet, save your money for a better quality 12" or 15" single that comes with specs......

And for the record, looking at the pic on the website tells me that 10.6" dimension is the size of the hole you need to cutout for the speaker....thats quite the flange on it.....

HTH

Instead of getting two of these Piles... Why not get a single Mach5 Audio 12"?
It will probably sound better, and the owner Mark will make sure you have all the specs you need to design a box (or have one designed).

I'm also betting there are people on the forum here that have gear they would sell you.

Exclamation

okay so after actually takin time to learn sum lol... i decided to either go with 2 MTX T7512-04 - MTX 12" 800 Watt Single 4 Ohm Subwoofers if u can cuz i dont no if u can since it says single so thats where i need help, n if i cant have 2 of them for sum stupid reason i'd go with 2 MTX T5512-44 - MTX 12" 600 Watt Dual 4 Ohm Subwoofers im assuming the duel means i can have to if single means i can't ahaha. but i still need an answer to my original question only replace the "ballz" pyle's with the MTX's thanx

lol good choice, the mtx 5512 is only good for 300 RMS though not 600. those pyles or piles i shoud say most likely wouldnt hit 33 Hz cuz they are kinda cheap, i got the MTX 9500 (9515) dual 4 ohm and they are only tuned to 38 Hz. as for you other question the only difference the different voice coils is your wiring options, you should find an amp to pair up with it then know what to run for you subs, if you got the two dual 4 ohm voil coils u can wire them up to get 1 ohm impedance from you amp (i am currently running best option, lower the better) the other way is a little bit cheaper and get two single 4 ohm voice coil and would be able to wire it up at 2 ohm impedance. so you would want an amp that will give u either 300-500 watts at either 1 or 2 ohm and match it up with either the dual or single voice coil subs and wire them up. MTX makes a good sub the 8500 series rated at 600 watts i was running 900 through it and was perfect.

now as for porting MTX prefers for 12's 2 cubic feet per sub and tune to 38 Hz say 40 to be safe

with a 2 cubic foot box and a 3" port (pcv piping) tuned at :
38Hz: 4.4 inches in length
40Hz: 3.78 inches in length
45Hz: 2.5 inches in length

u get the idea so keep the port lenght to 4 1/4 and ull get ur 38.5 Hz but thats for the MTX 5512's ONLY
