2 DD 612S4’s ported enclosure

I need help building a vented enclosure for my subs, I’m using a program that gives me the dimensions for the sub. One option on it is “max flat amplitude” and the size of the box is 7.772 cubic ft. The other option is “Optimum volume” and the size of the box is 5.51 cubic feet.

What is the difference between the two, and what would be better for SPL and just being loud in general. Help anybody?
