3 days to build a box
well trying to build yet another box for my buick, i got 3 days to do it well it needs to be ready for saturday so i can test on tl.2 dd 9512s on 2 500.1s, 36X34X13, i got aboutalmost 39 inchs deep but i can't get the box in the car like that so i'm going smaller, dave i'm using ur idea for tuning it interchanging my port bafle, don it is goin to be touching the back of my trunk, with alot of braceing because i'm making an amp rack back there i just gott figure out a size for the ort and work from there, lol

should be able to make a box in few hours.
when it comes to spl the break down is like this,
you should spend 30% (or less) of the time building a box and 70% (or more) of the time testing it.
If you got it other way around you are either taking too long to make a box or you are not testing extensively enough.
so if i was you i'd take 1 day to make a box and 2 days testing it.

the box that Tom Adams used to do the 154.1 in St. A was rebaffeled on both sides, reglued, re ported, tuned and tested all in about 6 hours. Tom is crazy like that. He was burping it with glue and silicone comming out of the seams.
Les is crazy too, he can build a box in 40 minutes and have it ready for testing.
Too bad Im not as intense as these guys. Takes me about a week to make a box and then 3 weeks to test it.
