6X9 boxes that are ported????

really

36x10x8= 1.10cuft and one 4 inch tube that is 10" long is 48hz roughly...

why so low????

and seeing that most 6x9 are designed to be placed in free air why not build a bigger box..

well, like i said i dont know if that is the right size or not but my 6x9's whaled really loud everyone thought i had subs i even hit 130.2 in a spl comp just for fun lol now that is going back bout 10 years lol anyway hope that info gives you a rough estimate good luck P.S. im sure you could build a bigger box but i didnt have much room in a trunk lid mustang that why i built it like that

I was at a shop once long long ago (12 yrs - when RF made some serious Punch Amps) which had a bandpass box with a single 6x9 which was louder then a 10" in a ported box.. it was huge,, 30x12x12, and it amazed everyone when he popped the end of the box open to expose the 6x9..

lol thats where i got the idea but i used two 6x9's in that box size
