Alpine type x Experiences?? what box type
I was wondering if anyone out there has experience with these subs. I have two 10's read to go in. I can't decide weather or not to go sealed or ported, i've heard mixed reviews on either.
Anyone out there with experience in building and listening to these subs in different boxes and sizes???
thx for input.
cheers

sealed is going to give you a more better sound.
i have one 10 and i have tried it in both 1.6 sealed and 2.2 ported to 38hz.
ported you are going to need big ports because it moves alot of air, and you are probly going to want to tune it rather low.

Well I have two 10's going in I assume that the two of them in a set of nice small sealed boxes are going to give me a hell of a kick either way (in other words i'm not going to be missing the extra that a ported box would give me) I'm running 1200RMS (there about) to them.

My buddy had a single 12 type x sealed (can't remember volume, thinking about 1.25 cubic feet) with a mrd1000 for an amp, sounded really nice in his integra. If you are more concerned with sq, go sealed. Maybe its just me, but I think the type x's are better sealed, and the type r's are better ported. Then again thats just my opinion.
