Bandpass enclosure build

^ Sorry about that, tuning was at 35hz, which is my default for most boxes.
The frickin cone excursion feature wasn't working in winISD so I couldn't check it. Really, if it works alright in 1.5vented, it's going to be alright in a 1.5 ABC since the two operate in similar fashion. I'll try looking at WinISD on my other computer - I know cone excursion at least used to work on there..

LOL, I might have big biceps, but trust me, my "passengers" are always disappointed at th "dip in response" around my "midrange" region! "It just looks small cuz my legs are so big baby... ... Where you going?" Gotta try our best to keep things linear!!!

Did I just stumble into confession time at the local " 'Roid User's Anonymous?" Classic!

Ha ha ha! ...thats all.
But seriously, gotta have a nice response in the entire bass region. I am at the point where I cant stand having too much low end and not enough punch, or vice versa. I would sooner have a small sealed box than a big vented box. It gets so annoying when some songs play notes that blow your head off and others that have no impact at all.

I understand your point. My current box is an example of that: A single 8" in 1.2 cuft tuned to 30hz. Many people are shocked that an 8" can sound that deep, but bass drum kicks aren't nearly as tight and quick as you would expect for an 8"
Yet still, I'm on the other end. I would rather have my sub play low and bring those deep bass notes forward than miss out on those notes for the sake of improved accuracy in the upper bass region.
Ideally, if I could have a flat response with a single sub and 2 way components (much more easily done with 3 ways - but I don't have the room in my Toyota for 3 way) a flat response is what I would want . . . but if I'm forced to compromise I would first sacrifice the punch before the low rumble.

Due to lack of time, I decided "Screw it!" I'm using my current enclosure!
This enclosure is 1.2 cu. ft. box tuned to 30Hz that had an eD9kv.2 in it. I took the 8" driver out, enlarged the hole, and installed the 10".
It works reasonably well in there, and it is a lot louder than eD 8" was for 2 reasons. 1) Greater cone area 2) the 8" was a dual 4 that I wired in series for an 8 ohm load off a 2 channel bridged, and the 10" is a single 4 running bridged off the same amp . . . so it's receiving double the power too.
While I am happy with the sound I'm getting from it in this box, I do hope to have a pair of 10" subs shortly, and I want to build an ABC for them. So until that project happens, this set-up will do me just fine!
