Bassbox Program

How accurate is this program. I have played with it for a few days now and found the best set up for my sub. I put the mesurements for my current box, it told me around 142 dbs. The new box im about to build. Told me around 153.6 ish Dbs. Now before i go out and spend the money on supplies and tools, should i trust the settings from the pro or not? If anyone has the pro, i could email u my set up. Pm me with your email. Thanks alot guys and gals.

almost every software, including bassbox, are very accurate, as long as you know what your are doing. What you are doing with an enclosure software is establishing a theorical model. Making your enclosure work as close as possible to the theorical model is what does the difference in the end. You need skills and knowledge to achieve that.

it's easy to go wild on the volume, port area, tuning frequency, Q's and stuff like that, just as assembling a few mdf panels togheters. Building a great enclosure is another story. Getting your hand dirty is a good way to get started into this, off course

Many people will probably tell you that those software don't work, but in reality, they do work, and very well. They just don't tell you everything you need to know about making boxes. In the end, if your enclosure act nowhere near as predicted, the prediction is not the "responsible". Misconception and misbuilding are
