The "blend in and pain-in-the-***-to-steal" box idea

My apologies for the horrid picture...let me explain a few things.

The box will be designed so initially, it is a very tight squeeze to fit into my trunk on my 2dr civic coupe.

After its placed in (subs facing backseats), there will 2 be "add ons" which are bolted to the box on both side "brackets" (brackets = green, latches = red), and top to "extensions" on the box (the yellow things in the pic)

The "extensions" (yellow)are just extra sides glued onto the box, to make it longer and so I can attach latches(red) to them that can be drilled through the wood, without making the box not 100% sealed.

The "brackets" (green) are attachments to the box with the other end of the latches, so it makes the box fit the entire width inside of my trunk, so unless the latches are moved, or unless you can break the car frame or box - is not coming out.

The carpet on the brackets would extend about an inch onto the box itself, which would have Velcro, in which would have to be pulled back to reveal the latches. Hopefully camouflage it to any potential thieves so they would not notice it or the brackets.

The subs are facing the rear back seat, which is completely locked and back seats are unable to be pushed forward unless you have my car key (there is no switch for it, uses my carkey) so no one can get to my amp, or unscrew my subs from the sub box.

Well thats it,hopefully it made sense...Any questions or suggestions before I build this bad boy?

PS getting OEM matched carpet, so it will HOPFULLY also just look like I have a tiny *** trunk space.

I live in the area of town where its just stupid highschool kids breaking into cars to make money. And the way MPI (Manitoba Public Insurance) is going, they're going to practically make it mandatory for every car to have an immobilizer.

Just put a good alarm on your car! Thieves if they cant steal it they break it, your choice either way you get facked! Do an alarm with 3 or more sirens so it makes mad noise!!!

also maybe an other way to do would be to just bolt it from inside the box right into the frame = the box wont go anywhere without taking the subs out and the unbolting the box but really who gives about the box its the subs you need to secure ( anti theft high voltage by switch energising a couple of bolts on the sub box lmao) outch!!!! haahhaaha

yeah one way to do it would be just to figure out a system so they can't take the sub's out of the box and then bolt the box somehow to the frame or through the floor of the trunk to the bottom of your car, not many theives are gunna think to go under your car for looking to undo bolts to steal your subs unless they have stolen your car.
