box for CVR10

Thumbs up box for CVR10

back in business and i need a new box. this time i want to got more SQ than spl. i want this sub to sounds its best and still be able to turn up the volume a bit. ( want ported also )

now what im not sure is how big should i have this box and tuned to what???

i was thinking 30hz? kicker rec from 1.25 to 1.75 before port. any suggestions??

JALAT CHIME IN ill get the dimention ( MAX ) of where i want the box tomorow

D 14" (hold)
W 46" MAX can shrink

my program is on the wack so this is y im asking someone to design one for me.

Top = 31"x14"
Bottom = 31"x14"
Front = 28.25"x11.25" (double baffled)
Back = 31"x11.25"
L Side = 13.25"x11.25"

is mounting a plate amp on the rear ok??? or does it have to be enclose outside of the box??

mounting it on the back would be fine. if possible you could flush mount it into the enclosure. if not, purhaps get some rubber washers to reduce vibration on the amp from the enclosure

it will be flush mount. and sealed up thanks man.

didnt get the mdf in time this weekend soo i hope i can grab a sheet tomorow

Nice design...again.....

This sounds more like a HT box to me....Curious tho....if he flush mounts the plate amp in the back of the box, it will interfere with air flo thru the port, correct?

In that situation, wouldn't it work better if you fold the port back on itself rather than running it across the back?

I'd also like to mention....you have Bass Box and Sketchup down pat, I like the designs and pics of the boxes you post on here.....

Keep it up, I'm sure lots of others here enjoy your work as well.....

this is for my van. SQ oriented low budget sub system lmao.. the amp will be mounted in the back right. where there is no port and the amp is only 1" thick anyway lol

cant wait to get it running. also i cant post pic since my cam is krap now. will have to do on a later LATER date lmao
