Ok.....the plate amp thing threw me off.....I've never seen one made for mobile use @ 12V DC......all the plate amps I've seen were 120V AC for home use.....hope it works out for ya......

You know I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Even sent him a PM. You would think that Jalat would have some awesome positive feedback in his profile, I've only been on this site for a few weeks and man hes put out like 10 boxes for people and damn good ones too!!

He uses Win ISD and Sketchup. I use Bass Box but found that neither one have a good updated database. Win ISD for example .... NO JL? Bass Box no current stuff. Unless there is another update that I haven't found.

That's neat! Looks like it belongs to a home system, but designed for 12V. That is cool!!

lol how hard can it be. a home plate amp is 120volt AC converted to 12v dc.. take out the transformer and you have yourself a 12v amp :P

Well...The home plate amp is lowered with a transformer to maybe around +-60V. The car plate will need the same final voltage but it will need to convert the +12V DC to AC at high frequency (this way the parts are smaller) using a switching circuit and then brought back to DC at +-60V

My only concern with this plate is whether this thin alu plate will be enough to cool it down or not. Other that that it's your standard car amplifier in a different package.

For 80$ ill try too

hey jalat i hope i can get an answer by tomorow morning lol... how much would it affect the tuning if i put a 3/4 thick by 2" wide by 8" long brace in the port.

the dam hardware store gave me a bent peace. and the only way to screw in the top now is to put a brace to make sure that its 2" from one end of the port to the other.
right now the port in the rear goes from 2" to 2 1/4 back to 2"
