Box Design Help/Suggestions

I'm putting together the pieces for the install in my 99 Blazer 2dr. I have a Kaption HO 50.4 that I'm planning on bridgeing to power a set of comps (as of yet undecided) for the front. I'm looking at a daily driver sq biased system.
I just picked up an xtant x104 sub and I'm hoping some kind soul might give me a hand in the box design/choices area. Specs per tech sheet available at
http://xtant.com/archives/html/products/X10.cfm

Sealed:
Enclosure Volume: .63ft^3
F3: 48Hz
Ripple: .00dB
Qtc: .74
Net Volume: .57ft^3
Driver Volume: .06ft^3
Excursion Ltd SPL: 112dB
Excursion Ltd Power: 500W

Vented:
Enclosure Volume: 1.25ft^3
Vent Dimensions: 3"x18"
F3: 29Hz
Tuning Fq: 29Hz
Ripple: .72dB
Net Volume: 1.11ft^3
Driver Volume: .06ft^3
Vent Volume: .08ft^3
Excursion Ltd SPL: 113dB
Excursion Ltd Power: 500W

I know what a few of these measurements mean, but I'm definitely no guru. I've figured some internal dimensions for these boxes but I'm at a complete loss as far as venting goes. My math shows an 11x11x9 interior volume for a sealed box and I get about a 10x12x18 or equivalent if I angle the baffle for a vented. I could work with both of these sizes, and I can make the box myself.

The sealed box is easy - any suggestions on what I'd be looking at design-wise for a vented box or pros/cons on what might be better for my purposes of daily listening pleasure?

Thanx much!

Right now it will be an Alpine MRP-T130 bridged cuz I have it already, but I realize I'll probably want to upgrade that. Suggestions again most welcome.

That would be a nice combo, having the 2 Kaption HC amps. A buddy of mine has them exact two. I'm playing with the numbers give me a bit and I'll get back to you with a design.

O.K. Here's a quick and easy one that should sound good.

Open RE calculator (click)

In the red spots input:

20
14
12
12
.75
1.25
14

You should get a box that's internal volume is 1.15 tuned to 35hz. Be sure to round the ports.

Build it like you see it. It is a 10" sub right?

I know RE calculator isn't exact but it'll get him by. I just don't have time to use my normal program, and it gives him a good visual without me making a sketchup. lol

Thank you!

10", yes.

Any pro's or cons to angling the baffle? ie, is it better to fire into the tailgate or into the rear glass? I would assume that as long as I adjusted the top and bottom plates inversely to keep the same volume that everything else would stay pretty much the same too except for maybe some tricky cuts?

Rounding the ports - as in like a 3/8" roundover bit on any sharp internal edges and a wedge in the outside port corner you mean?

I am here to learn.

If you angle the baffle it will mess with the port frequency. You can build it like you see it, then turn it in different directions for different results. If you want to angle the baffle you would have to port from the side which is a different design all together.

Yes, round the inner port board on both sides, so the end is completely rounded, then just put a round on the outer edges of the port. This helps to reduce port noise.
