Box Dimentions

ok well im just wondering how big/small i should make a enclosure for two jl 12'' W3v3's im not sure what car its gunna go into at the moment but does it matter what kind of car its going into when you design a box for just 2 12''s? btw they'll be in a sealed box, and powered by a jbl GTO1201.1 II.

those are what you call t/s parameters. from them you can derive what type/size/tuning of box you sub is best suited for.

you may want to try dloading a free program called winisd.

mmk well thanks for the help. appreciate it, just have one tiny more question, how big should the hole in the box be for the driver? larger than 12 inches or smaller? the site gave me two different measurements, mounting hole diameter 11.0625in and bolt hole circle 11.7 in, im just unsure wich one to use or am i even looking at the right numbers?

the vas is a t/s parameter. vas alone does not tell you how big to make your box.

the sealed recomended bos size is 1.25 cf per sub and the ported is 1.75cf @ 30hz per sub. if you have the room i would suggest porting them, they should sound great.
