Box help
so ive installed my new pair of oz audio 300Ls in my 3.0 cf sealed box stuffed with 2 pounds of polyfill. the sound quality of the bass is so much more defined than the old 12w0s they replaced however the output is not quite as much. im running them off my ppi powerclass old school 1400 400 watt monoblock. i figure this may be due to the fact that the old subs were only 125watt rms compared to the 300ls 250watt rms. long story short im looking at possibly building a ported box for them but i only have room for 4 cubic feet max in my car. can anyone recommend me a box size as well as port size to work with these woofers tuned as low as possible. they are the first gen woofers with the superman logo.
thx

also unfortunatly i dont have my own table saw so considering how difficult it seems to be to get a squarely cut piece of mdf from home depot/rona i would be looking at using 4 inch pvc ports rather than a slot port
thx

How big is your sealed Box atm? You can get rona to do the cuts if you give them a plan. And for ports youll have to ask someone else, L vent's are always an easy yet somewhat flawed way to go. Still works though. Sorry im not much help but Im in the same knowledge of subs and enclosures as you :P

i know i can get rona to cut for me but they never seem to make very precise cuts so adding a slot port just makes it more likely that the box edges arent gonna line up. its not so much that im a beginner at building boxes etc its that i cant find any parameters for the speakers and the ones i did turned out saying i needed 4 cubic feet per woofer sealed which leads me to believe that there info was wrong. i was hoping that some of the senior guys may have had some experience with these speakers seeing is they are over 10 years old and were pretty popular in there day

im trying to avoid guessing at this point. i would prefer to know the proper size. 4 cubic feet is just a guess
there in a 89 civic hatchback. i found some specs on winisd for them however when i calculated it came out to be like 4 cubic feet for EACH woofer sealed which i believe is incorrect. i cant imagine a sq designed pair of 12s requiring a 8 cubic foot SEALED box

Well if you can only fit 4f^3 in your car then Make a sealed that big, cuz from my experiences ported is supposed ot be bigger

let me rephrase my question. im trying to find out if these subs will work in 1.5- 2 cubic feet EACH PORTED and if so when the lowest tuning and port size would work best. if i put them in a larger sealed box it does not necessarily mean i will get more output.
