Hey guys, over the summer i had a set of alpine type s 10's installed in my nissan titan. They are being powered by an alpine 500 watt amp i forget exactly which one. They are now in a sealed box under the back seat of the the truck. I have friends who have the most hoopty setups in their rides and it seems like my subs just dont have that low thump that they have. Would a sealed box help these get that better and harder bass? oh and these are the 2 ohm ones

A custom ported box would give you more output.

okay thanks do you think they have enough power going to them? i have the stock head unit so i have no sub control unless i adjust the amp

Once the amp and wiring is set up good then 500 watts rms should get them going pretty good. You can always add control to the amp.

okay thanks i just feel like the box is suffocating them being sealed and under the seat

No problem man, enclosure plays a large role in you sub's output so it's better to have a custom enclosure built.

yea im just getting into the whole car audio thing so im in the learning curve i defiantly will be going custom enclosure in the next vehicle
