Diamond M6 12" - Sealed, Help!

Hey guys,

So I decided to use BassBox Pro to build this box, and I guess either..

1) I'm using the program incorrectly
2) I'm just an idiot
3) All the above

I chose my driver, chose sealed box, chose SQ, chose External Dimensions...

It threw me out

Height - 320mm
Width - 360mm
Depth - 300mm

So, without thinking I measued, cut my 3/4" MDF.

Now factor in the MDF is about 20mm thick - the front/back peices are only actually 280mm in height (since the bottom/top go above/under it)

280mm height is not big enough to fit the subwoofer in.

Did I do something wrong in BassBox?

If its not too too terribly much to ask, could someone give me the dimensions for...

Front/Back Peices
Top/Botton Peices
Side peices

Thanks guys,

Shay

O.k. I'll try to walk you through this.

After choosing your driver, choose sealed, then enter the box design area.

You should set to Type: Closed, Shape: prism, square (not "opt.") Dimensions are: External.

Hit suggest, or get the manufacturers suggested info. Set QL to 0 or blank, the click on the "Override Vb" This will allow you to input your own dimensions. Type in your wood thickness.

Click on the dampening and interior tabs and adjust as needed. THEN, go back to the box design and play with your measurements until the will fit nice in you vehicle and have the right amount of Vb (internal air space) in the Internal Volume box.

HTH - many times I forget to change the internal to external or that "prism, square opt." thing get annoying. The suggest is just that. You almost always have to override the measurements and use your own.

1.2 cubic feet sealed with a small amount of polyfill should do the trick
