Sealed Box Volume 0.5 - 0.8 cubic feet Ported Box Volume 1.2 cubic feet The dimensions are up to you depending on where you plan to put this box and the space available. a simple .8cf sealed box would be 13x13x12 a simple 1.2cf ported box would be 16x12.5x14.5 The 3/4 MDF will be fine but make sure you use a really good wood glue (I like to use a few screws as well)Use that Lepage no more nails adhesive. Its the best and its pretty cheap. That's a badass sub, I love Orion gear. |

The dimensions of your box is really not the question. Its the volume you need to be aware of. that sub should be mounted in a fairly small box,

Do you think this sub will be louder than my 2 g5's i already have? i'm selling my g5's along with my alpine mrp m1000 amp and i am kinda iffy about this.. i'm getting this orion with an Audison LRx 1.1 (1100 watts rms). i just want something louder and hoping this will be alot louder..
Anyone else have any ideas??? If its loud you want, build a bandpass box.wont get much louder then that. |
