Which direction to port?

Which direction to port?
So I picked this up the other day.... 19.75"ID x 57.5"L x 7/8" thick. It's a little over 10cubes as it sits.
I'm torn between porting straight back like this:
Problem is... I can only use an 8" tube and tune to about 37hz... that is with 3.75 cu enclosure. This way would also allow for me to make an adjustable rear wall, to adjust volume easily.
Then I was thinking about going with the OS bazooka design and bringing the port out the side and porting near the sub... ie. both on same face...
What to do... what to do??? If I bring the port to the sub face, then I could run, sub and port back , forward, or even the sides...
For those who don't know my setup is in the rear of a Windstar minivan.

i hear what you're saying. if i were to try any style, it would b like the bazooka style enclosure. i'd cut a 7.5" sonotube in half, sit it on top, fiberglass it in and go from there

I have enough for 2 enclosures @ 5 cubes each... The plan was to build 2 enclosures both 3.75cubes. Somewhere around 35-37hz tuning. Shooting for somewhat of a flat response... or the best I can get with these subs, lol.

at 4 cubic feet each, you are looking at a said minimum of 48 sq in of port. given that you make the port the length of the enclosure tube, the bigger the port (or diameter of port) the higher the tuning. this is where it is going to be hard to know what you are tuning to

If you dont know how to use the program I will be glad to help you. We would just have to agree on a time and I can design it up quickly for you.
