eclipse subs 8712.4

I need help!!
I need to build a box for my 12" eclipse 8712.4 subs. I can't find any information about them on how many cubic feet they require. does anybody know??

try calling eclipse. If it's a sealed box, build a test box that's about 2.5 cubic feet (which may be oversized) and then start listening and reducing volume until you find the right sound for you. you can reduce volume by placing styrofoam blocks in the box. Once you reach the volume you want, then build a final box that volume. Typically for most 12's, a sealed box between .8-1.5 cubes works very well.

I had this sub. was rated from .75 to 1.5 cuft and had different response curves depending on the enclosure size. 1.00-1.25 was the best if my memory serves me right.

Thank you I have 2 12's powered by a Kaption hd75.2 and and you are right they are in the wrong box but they do pound.
