Enclosure help
Hey guys...
Well, I have a dual 4 ohm voice coil MTX 9500 series 12", and I recently built a sealed enclosure based on the MTX recommended dimensions for this sub. The gross internal volume of the sub box is 1.25 cu.ft as per the instructions. Previously, I had a 1.5 cu.ft ported enclosure I built from the MTX site as well, slot loaded. Of course the ported was louder, but I love how controlled and low a sealed box will go. I know you can just tune the ported box to go lower, but I also dont want a 5 cu.ft box in the back of my Grand Cherokee. Any suggestions? The sealed box I built sounds like a$$ unless you are listening to rap that has a lot of low notes. I need some suggestions, thanks.
