I am looking into getting a 12" SPL. I drive a 2001 VW Jetta and I am would like to take it to a sound off around my area for fun. I am wondering if I should build a box and plop it in the trunk or if I would really benefit from building a wall behind the seats and have the sub faceing in the cabin with the port also. I dont have to much experence in doing stuff like this so just wondering what some thoughts and advice would be. Thanks Luke

 

Make a small 1-1.5cf box, tune at 45-50Hz and face it to the back.
