Encosure assistance
Alrighty, first off i would like to thank all of those who sent me offers for subs they were selling.
However I have now acquired a pair of Rockford Fosgate P312d4's and im looking to build a box for them for my 2001 Ford Focus ZX3
I am looking for suggestions as what i should do (ie. ported, sealed, aero port, slot port, subs direction etc ) the specs are as follows:
Value
Size 12"
Impedance 4-Ohm x 2
Power Handling 500 RMS
1000 Peak
Motor Size 102 oz. double stacked
Voice Coil Diameter 2.5" aluminum
Speaker Connector Dual 8 AWG compression
Mounting Depth 6.375"
Rec. Sealed Enclosure 0.75 cu. ft.
21.24 liters
Rec. Vented Enclosure 1.75 cu. ft.
49.56 liters
Tuning Frequency (vented) 37 Hz
Shipping Weight 25.2 Lbs.
(11.4 Kg.)
I am not looking for spl, but I may enter a comp to see what I meter at. I listen to literally all kinds of music, so i am looking for a "best of both worlds" kind of enclosure, but i am more preferable to low end response than to responsiveness.
Thanks in advance for all the help.

It is up to you if you want to use two chambers or not. The benifits of this is if one sub fails it will not affect the other, and will be easier to detect. If you do make it dual chamber it will make the box quite a bit larger though. I suggested 30Hz because the box will have a flatter response curve, and will have better low frequency response. The lower the tuning frequency the better the box will sound, the higher the tuning frequency the louder the box can be but will sound crappier below the tuning frequency. Just make sure you don't tune below the driver Fs of 26Hz.
