Try this link. This design is pretty simple if you've never built a ported enclosure before, and the panels and cuts are all laid out for you.

Cool thanks man, now here comes another question. I toyed around with it for a bit and found the the tuning frequency of everything that i made in the "SQL" and "Maximally Flat" areas were below my Fs. does that mean that I am going to have to use the compact box design?

Use the option one input area and enter the tuning frequency that you want (I suggest around 33hz), and the net volume of the box - the volume after port, and speaker displacement (I suggest 3.5ft^3). Leave the option two input area empty, it is only for making recommendations.

3.5CuFt that would be for 2 subs right? because i am looking to design a box for one sub, then just make 2, one normal and one mirrored so that the ports both end beside each other.

ya that would be for two subs, if you are going to make seperate chambers I would use a box with an net volume of 1.75ft^3 and a port width of at least 1.5" per driver.

Something like this, but maybe with the port in an L shape along the back wall rather than snaking forward. This design will actually give you more port area, than the previous design.

Wow, I had just finished designing a box that I was hoping would work, and was about to post it on here and see what you think, i saw that you had replied and we had designed identical boxes

so, something like this then?

Without seeing the dimensions, that looks good. I was to lazy to run the numbers through WinISD to get a look at the response curve, but I imagine the recommended volume by Rockford will make a pretty flat curve. You can always increase the volume to increase low-end extension. What amp are you going to use to power your subs? Good luck with construction!

First of all, what do you mean "increase the volume to increase low-end extension" im sorta new at this stuff so not really sure what you are getting at. Also do you mean box volume or port volume?

Secondly, I have an Exile 1200.1, so running a pair of these subs at 1ohm giving 600wrms to each, should be nice.

The bigger the volume of the box the louder lower frequencies will be. However, higher frequencies will be reduced. Also, the larger the box the less power it will take to achieve full subwoofer extension. Your amp will give the subs plenty of power so you don't really have to worry bout that though.

This article kind of explains what I am trying to say a bit better, but it is related to sealed enclosures.

You could try this design instead
. It would give a more even response and better low end response, but wouldn't be as loud at it peak frequency.
