few custom build questions help pls

Hey everyone, I plan to build a custom enclosure between the seat in a 2008 regular cab silverado....Its a matrix 12 perty beefy and a matrix 800-1000 im not sure witch one.... I have a few question

How far should we place the box from the back wall if we have the port and speacker facing the rear.....?

What is the best tune for a box overall were not lookin to place 1-5 in a contest by any means but ( he has a prefab vented right now and as far as i can tell its tuned really high because when it hits deep notes it don't Come alive like it should ) I was thinking 30 or so would be a good tune correct me if im wronge.... He listens to mainly rap... and some rock but would like for the rap to play well and hit hard....

also I've built up a few boxes on RE's box calculator... Is this a good thing to go by or should i not go off of what that says....

Is there any part of that calculator i need to watch like port area or anything or as long as when i'm done it says im tuned to 30 it should be fine...
I just put something together on there and this is what i ened up with would that probably do fine or should i tune it higher or possibly lower
right now the box i designed is
width 13
height 18
depth 36
thickness .75
port width 2.5
total port length 42.25
port area 41.25
port volume 1742.81
port displacement 1770.56
box volume ft3 2.43
box volume in3 4206.5
tune 30.97

thanks for any input you guys can give us. It will be greatly appreciated... as we are trying to get this underway asap...

With the RE Enclosure calculator, cubic footage is usually about .2-.3 less than what it would be, and tunning is 3-5hz higher than whats posted

Depends on the goals of the system, music listened to, and the subwoofer.

Safe general tuning freq would be 36hz

so i should plan to tune 35hz and then account for but since it's normaly higher tuned on that site the 30hz i have built on there now will be fine considering if it generaly runs higher it will be around 33-36..... correct.... Also we plan on enlaying a cupholder/storage area in the box, how should i caculate that like the area will take up probably
8inch width
10depth
14inch length... would we get the area of that and lets say its .5cubic feet build our box that much bigger to accomadate for that part being inside of the box....

so using that website, make sure the tuning is around 33-34hz

and yes that will work with the cupholder thing.

ok i may be not understanding the tuning deal... if im tuned at
30 to tune higher do i got to 20 or 40.....

with the re site being 3-5 higher the way i understood is you would want to tune it 30 to end up with 35 or so final tune with that into consideration... am i going the wrong direction with this .... thanks for all the help guys...

ON the RE calculator, I would tune to around 33hz so that your real life tune will be around 36hz.
