Front Speakers (6x8)
Hey everyone. I trying to know which speakers I should put in the front doors. I'm actually running 6x9 JBL P series in the back which got 110 W RMS and i need to find 6x8 speakers with good sound quality that output around 90 or 100 RMS. I know about the 6x8 JBL from the same series but theres a little too expensive knowing my budget is around 200 $. By the way the mounting depth is 2.75" (info got on the internet, i didn't mesure it myself). So if you got any suggestion let me know.

100 watts into a 5x7 (aka 6x8) is a lot of power is your amp 100 watts RMS?
and $200 is a lot of scratch for a 6x8 so my question is is this all about volume, all about sound quality or both.
lastly as the previous post I am thinking a could a component set be in your future or is the extra tweeter to mount out of the question? though it may have to be a 5 1/4"

Ok but i'm trying to stay in a coaxial system. Maybe component in an other car in a few years.
The amp is 100 RMS x4 but ill probably set the output a little lower to avoid distortion and the power of the speaker is to match with the 2 12" subs of 1000 RMS each so i'm trying to get good sound quality with enough power to match.

cool, there are a couple comp sets that come with a 6x8 plate so the separates mount in the 6x8 hole (not quite coax but close). The good news is there are numerous 6x8 that sound pretty good and get pretty loud and for less than your budget. If you can, go to shops and give a listen so you can figure out what you like since JL, Rockford, Memphis, Alpine, Pioneer etc. all make stuff for much less than your budget (and JL has a 6x8 way over your budget too). I used the Rockford ($50 US) and it was superior on human voice and bass down to 100 Hz but got a little ragged in the HF ... I still have an unused set (I really liked them)
