help with 10 sealed enclosure for SQ

one last question... when i hook the amp up to the sub.. there are 2 + and - out puts.. do i use a positive from one and a negative from the other..
or do i use the + and - from the same one?

You will use both positive and both negatives to the amp. Take a short wire and hook it to both positives on the sub, then run a wire from either one to the positive on the amp. Do the same with the negatives. This will give you the 2 ohms needed for your amp.

i meant on the amp.. there are two terminals.. i cant find any info on whether or not the amp is bridgeable though

it is probably a two channal amp and you will have to bridge the two channels, there should be a line showing the bridged + and - on your amp

there is no line showing it wired as bridged.. thats why im wondering if it was or wasnt designed for it..

its a JBL GTO7001

i have the exact same sub and a two channel amp here is how mine is how you want to do it




if that doesnt work then i would do one channal to each coil

im nervous to try.. i dont want to fry the amp.. but.. it really doesnt seem as loud as it should be with 700w rms..

wouldnt putting one to each coil.. be bad for the sub? just in case there is a slight output difference between the 2 terminals?

there shouldnt be a difference but if the amp is not bridgeable you could do one channel per coil at 4 ohm each which will give you allitle more power with more resistance or two coils to one channel at 2 ohms

if i try it..and it turns out the amp wasnt bridgeable... would it permanently fry they amp... or just blow a fuse?
