help with more output from my single 12

hey guys, so i have a single alpine type r 12 hooked to an ed nine.1 getting 900 rms, ive currently got it hooked to my sony xplod head unit which has like a 2v preout, im looking into getting a line driver so that i can turn up the gain on my amp to get more power out of it. anyone had experience with line drivers?

but the main thing is i need a new box, im currently running a box thats 14 inches tall 16 deep and 28 wide with a port thats about 14x2.25x16.5 long it was all built out of scrap oak plywood i had left over from some furniture i built lol, sooo now im looking to get serious, dont care about cost, ill be using 0.75 mdf two layers for the sub baffle and im going to coat the whole thing in resin, and brace the inside, ive got max dimensions of about 28 wide 18 high and 16 deep outside dimensions, i want to put the port on the long side of the box with the sub as it will be facing backwards in my hatchback, im not set on any type of port so i can do round (abs pipe) square or slot, let me know what kinda designs you guys can come up with, i listen to mainly hiphop and sometimes rock, dont want anything loose or sloppy sounding, so somewhere in the 30 hz range would be good i think, let me know, also i could make it smaller than these max dimensions if you think the sub doesnt need that much air

Re-read it's in there 28 wide by 18 high 16 deep which is over 4.6 cuft, should I be running a lot smaller of a box? Alpine recommends like 1.5 cube ported. Someone design me a nice 2 cube ported box please!

if you've got that much space and all that power why not throw another one in there? or you could go with the alpine specs and see what happens

Cuz it's the old model of type r I got it on clerance at futureshop for half price so I'm having a hell of a time finding another one! I've been keeping an eye out for a used one cuz my amp is 1 ohm stable so I can easily add another one and get a bunch more power! But til that happens I wanna build a new box, just looking for some design ideas? Give me dimensions and port size, I kinda wanna try a box port but I don't know how to design one, let me know!
