my first box build

Hey guys I need some help. So I made my first box today for my hdc312 soundque. Now the box 40"W 17"L. And I put one port hole 4inch and 10inch D but I'm not getting that much bass out of it. Is the box too big or my port too small please thanks

Have you tried following the box specs given by sound qubed?

What amp are you running?

Box looks way big and the port is definitely small for that sub.

That's over 5 cuft box mann, it's way too big..

It should be around 2.5 to 2.75 cuft after all displacement.

What tuning frequency are you looking for? I can help you modify that box.

I have never seen anybody use a HDC3 for a home theater setup, your box specs are 5.12 cubes net, tuning frequency is 22hz, 2.46 inches2 of port area

Shrink your box down to 2.5 cubes net and your tuning frequency will be 32.5hz with a 4"x10" port tube and will sound great for a daily setup.
If you want to keep that big box you can go to homedepot and get your self a $15 10" sonotube, trim it 35" in length, install it side firing and your final tuning will be 38hz 3.5 cubes net. It will give you lots of SPL but will sound very peaky due to the enormous port area.
