i emailed then he just said 2.5 cu ft 2 lb's of stuffing

didnt say if it should be ported or sealed or anything

this is in the back of an suv...looking for something that when i pay rock i can turn down the bass and get accurate low end...yet when i wanna shake things up she can get quite a bit of air moving...really shake rattle and roll

The 2.5 cubes recommendation is sealed. If you're wanting to go with a ported design, look at 4-5 cubes tuned anywhere <= 32 Hz.

Sealed typically pairs better with your vehicle's transfer function; going ported will result in much more low frequency output, but potentially with disappointing transient response. This can managed quite nicely by EQ'ing the bottom end down a bit (if your HU can do so).

ill just build sealed...sounds like ill get adequate bass and have more room for cargo...the back of my durango is frequantly used as a bed for my self

2 lbs stuffed thats pretty much like just stuffing the whole box eh?

previously when i stuffed i just sprayed glued stuffing as a lining...if im stuffing the whole box i dont even need to just jam it all in there and all is well?

I'd go a bit larger then 2cubes for that sub..... I'd aim for a Q of .7 which IIRC calls for around 3.5 cubes...
