Looking for basic grill metal, not too thick

Looking for suggestions for basic grill metal I to protect my sub. Does not need to be fancy as it will be covered in carpet. I will cut down to roughly 12" x 12". Does not need to bear weight, is mounted vertically, just protection from poking/dirt/dust/moisture. Bonus factors given for:

-strong yet thin
-I can cut with table saw
-flat texture (carpet being applied overtop)
-resistant to warping/denting
-does not colour sound (<90Hz I doubt this is an issue)

I am in Kitchener/Waterloo area, if anyone has local suggestions that would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

Buy a 15" waffle grille. Almost any retailer should be able to get you one.

Past that, try searching for "screen" and "perforated metal" in your local yellow pages.

you can try calling local metal fabricators...ask for perforated metal grill stock or wire mesh will work well also.

I figured he was looking to protect against rain or a splash. He did say it will be covered in carpet.
