heres the start of my box, designs were made by jalat, 2.2 cubes at 38.5 hz for a single 12" mach 5 spl driver. if cuts look off you can thank the amazing geniuses at rona who dont know how to use their own saw LOL.

Looks like your off to a good start. I'd have rounded the end of that port board though....

Edit: just curious, but won't the large angle in the corner restrict the port flow due to the change in area and sharp edge across from it?

 

yeah i thought of that AFTER i put it on LOL.
and uhh as for the corner piece i unno jalat did er up for me so if
if wouldnt work im sure he would said something to me first. its my first
box for this sub so chances are ill do another one soon to get it right.

 

Actually ... the 45 in the corner helps to maintain a consistant size in the port as well as to help reduce restriction to the air flow.

 

Provided that there was an equal 45 across from it ..... all I'm saying is the inner wall should be at the same angle not come to a pointed edge

 

I think that box may be a bit to small for optimum results. The recommended enclosure is 3 cubic feet gross.

 

mark said that 2-3 cubes would work, mark also checked this design i got and he said its actually tuned closer to 41 but i wouldnt notice a difference and he said it would work. other people on ca have had sucess with 2-2.5 cubes but its my first box for this sub so itll only get better.

 

box is done, just waiting for the glue/silicone to dry from the top piece then into the car, in the mean time im gonna do up a little amp rack for my orion

 

oh btw lets just forget about the sub opening me and jigsaws dont work well but it fits so who cares.

 

everythings hooked up and its pretty retarded loud well to me anyway, my trunk lid is like ****ed tho =( i tuned it my self so hopefully i dont **** the sub up, i played it hard for like 15 mins and i couldnt smell vc burning or anything from the box so that should be good.
