Not trying to bash it man... you put a lot of work into this enclosure and I'm sure it will pay off... it's an interesting approach... that's one thing I plan to test this year.... angles and ports in different sides and how it affects SPL. Awhile back I was going to try this. ;)

Holy!! That might be tough to build :dunno: but the design looks to be super smooth for airflow! Go for it:smokin:
What program is that anyhow and can a computard use it easily? lol

The program is sketchup. It works well if you know how you want the enclosure designed. It will help to identify if something might not fit properly and/or how things would look to scale.

Its free to download, and after watching the video tutorial you could be well on your way. It only took me a couple tries to get decent at it.

As for the enclosure design... it got curbed for a little while, but testing something similar will occur sometime this year... ;)

oh man you gonna have such a headache taking those ports in and out to adjust the lenght.

Actually Yuli, they come in and out from the top without too much trouble, somehow I remembered geometry class:smilie_da

Could also remove the tubes from the inside, just untape them at the collar , I would only need to remove the centre sub for access to all 4. That could prove annoying though:eyes:

Painted up the midbass box with the hammered alum finish paint..

I'm a little dissapointed, the paint shows EVERY tiny flaw on the surface!! It doesn't really matter much on this box, since it will be almost totally hidden between the front seats/under the console tray. Only the fabric covered front with be seen much. I wanted to paint the subbox with it also:eyes:

So before I paint the subbox I guess I have to do TONS of sanding!!!
Any suggestions on how to, and what sand paper to use, to fix the resin'd surface up to be more "paint ready"??

The sad pics... The front "cover" will be totally covered in the acoustic fabric eventually, so it looks pretty "off" color with the paint on the MDF without the resin.
This paint looks like frickin sparkle paint on plain MDF.:thumbsdow
