My first sub enclosure (with pix)
My first sub enclosure (with pix)
Hey...
So i finished my first sub enclosure and I'm pretty happy how it turned out
I wanted it to fit in my '04 Cavalier without taking up too much trunk space, so i read plenty about ports and volumes, construction etc and voila!
Here's the design phase...

A model to check it all out...

Off to my buddies house where the good tools live, thanks Matt!...

Home for some carpet treatment...

Find the hole

Drop the Pioneer TS-W126C in (port still covered)...

Mmmmm pretty...

Mount the JBL CS60.4 amp on the backside...

And just for fun i weighed it... 73.4lbs!! Thats one fat bastard!

I wont know what it sounds like till the rest of the install goes ahead, but there you go...
Cheers!

The port is there on the right side of the sub (still covered by carpet until i can find a suitable tube) and is a 3" hole. The port needs to be 6" long. I will see about finding a PVC pipe cutoff or something this weekend.
The first program is AutoCAD and the modeller is 3D Studio Max.
Cheers!
