you gotta find out what frequency your car peaks at. from there you gotta tune an enclosure around what that frequency is.

i'm no expert but hopefully some of the bigger SPL junkies will tune in

so what's the problem? just make a box that's not as tall. make the same box but only 12.5 inches high. lol.

or you can also try something like these box.

These 3 pics are all of the same box (taken at different times with different cameras)
This worked really well in an older cavalier wagon. Street B set up as well, was doing 153. The box was only 12.5 inches tall as well, so this should fit into your hatch. This box wasnt bigger than 2.5 cubes total.

yes i have tried subs up ports back that box u have there is very interesting looking but i dont have ports that crazy huge i have 4 4inch ports that are 10inchs long. I am also on limited budget sadly so cant go super crazy. i am thinkign of building a box with divider seeing as have 2 different amps running my subs. .

i dont see a problem again. make a box like the first one in my pics but use three of your 4 inch ports. Instead of what's in that pic. It should still work.

here are some boxes i ran back in 2004-2005 that used three 4 inch ports. All these were in a jeep grand cherokee and all are Street B set ups.

This one here broke 150. 2 12's go on top in this box

This box here did 151. One sub goes on top, and one on the side.

This box here was over 151. 2 12's on top.

The above boxes I built and used when i hardly knew wtf I was doing, I didnt that much power. With today's powerful amps, you could take these same boxes and add another Db to the scores. Maybe more.

This box did 153. Still Street B set up but only with 2 10's. Not 12's. Subs are firing forward.

you can try any of these boxes. just make them 12.5 inches tall. very simple.

the key to any good spl box is tuning. without that you are really shooting in the dark. Many things can be done to the inside of the box (you see one or two in these pics but there are many more tricks) that can make it very loud. But all of them require testing and tuning, without that they are pointless to even try.

The devider should gain you some spl. not because of two amps but because of increased loading inside of the box. there is a number of tricks you can do to the inside of the box to increase the loading, but im not gonna get into it. Hard to explain without pics.

if all you have is 12.5 inches then just make the box 12.5 inches tall. problem solved.
