need help ported box
hey guys, I just bought two kenwood w3012 subs and a jbl bp1200.1, im looking at building a slot ported box out of 3/4 mdf, the subs are rated at 400 rms 1200 max and the amp puts out around 1200 rms at 2 ohms, but its also one ohm stable, so ive been considering buying a third sub (same kind) and run the amp at 1.33 ohms (single 4ohm coils). my max dimensions are 36x14x16 so basically im wondering what would be better, three subs in that size of box or two with the same power? i will rarely be turning the volume up cuz the two subs are rated at 800 rms and im gonna be throwin 1200 at them, so as for my specific questions
-what should i tune the box to?
-would two be louder than three in the same box same power?
-should i use a slot port or buy some of those aeroports?
-ive seen people coat mdf with fiberglass for rigidity, do you basically just coat it with resin and let it soak into the mdf?
thanks!

For daily tune to 35hz.
Two would probably be louder than three if the space is limited.
Use a slot port, it's easier to build.
If you want to use three or four than use a sealed box, however those subs tune high in a sealed box so you'd need to get something else. DON'T seal those.

Perfect that settles things, 35hz slot ported box, with two subs, that saves me 110 bux! Now my next question is I've got a couple sheets of 5/8 oak veneer plywood, has anyone used this for box construction before? I know a lot of home theatre speakers use ply boxes I was mainly thinking of the weight savings, plus it looks really nice, what are your opinions on that? I'd use lots of internal bracing of course to reduce flex
