need help with slot port
ha! i think i got it all figured. disregard my last post. i found a calculator that makes better sense. i think i got it now, i require 2 ports at 20.5", thats the longest port i can possibly use, but its ok, by shortening them, my tuning frequency goes up, starting at 32hz.
im just gonna stick to the frikkin design i have now and build it!! dammit!! lol...
when shes all done and purdy i'll post some pics. maybe someone can learn something from all this. its obvious everyone here most definitely is not a professional

the thing is, i cant logically understand how one 3" port is gonna work better than 2. since im using a sub that recommends a 25 sq" slot port... i just have a hard time visualizing how it all works. its like i need to see something to believe it.
so far, if i go with 2 ports, i need like 20" each, but if i go with one port, i only need something like 10"....
how does that make sense?
maybe i just think too hard... lol

The smaller the port area the shorter the port will have to be, however the smaller your port area the higher the air velocity at the port, which can result in whistling noises. Having two smaller ports will reduce port velocity, but will also require more space inside the box than a single larger port. Try and have at least 16^2" of port for each driver.
