Need to repair carbox

Hey everyone.

I'm afraid I need advice as to how to go about repairing my carbox.

I have a PTS Shock Z4 (picture is attached). However after merely a month's worth of use the plexiglass is starting to come off the carbox itself. Of course this is causing unwated vibrations and loss of bass.

To be more specific about the issue. The screws located at the bottom of the window have begun to strip the holes they are in due to the force of the bass on the glass itself, forcively pulling the screws right out of the holes.

Does anyone know of a means to secure this glass back onto the carbox? If so, plese come forth with any possible solutions.

I am thankful for everyone's help in advance. ^^

T-nuts sound like a good solution. Drill a slightly larger hole for the T-nut, and then just bolt the blasted thing on.

Not that that isn't a good enough solution. But I'd still be open to any other suggestions. If not even just for the sake of interest. ^^

Thanks again, Ipchouinard

Loctite is for metal. You could dip the screws in wood glue and put them in but that is a short term solution only.

Might sound ghetto, but I've always used wood glue and tooth picks. Put glue on toothpicks and fill the hole with toothpicks. Let dry and reinstall screws. Works perfectly everytime!!

I know beggers can't be choosers. But would that not also be a temporary fix also? Either way, it's going into the idea book. ^^

Nope, I've found the pointed ones broken work best. Once they dry they screw in just as tight sometimes even better then on fresh wood. IMO Be sure to use wood glue.
