Need some help on a SPL box

Well my friend and I plan to do some sound competitions during the spring with you guys, I will be going for SQ, and he will be going for SPL. He has already bought 2 12inch Rockford fosgate Hx2 subs 500RMS each with 1000Watts each, We are still debating on which amp to get, we found some good ones that push out 1500RMS at 1ohm, which might be abit much but will see. Any ideas on amp please share.

We are fully capable of building a box (I posted our first box we made on here a few months back if you want to see it). But the designing side I havn't really figured it out yet. His car is a 2002 Nissian Altima

Trunk Specs....

H= 17 1/2 inches
L= 39 3/4 inch
D= 2ft.

I perfer not to build the box inside the trunk, We kind of wanted a box that we can also move in it out with abit of struggle lol. MAX SPL as possible.

If anyone can help us out, that would be greatly appricated.

Thanks in Advance

He has that much trunk in an Altima? You might want to double check that height. How do you plan to get a box that large into the trunk? These are all things to consider before designing an enclosure. All because it fits in the area doesn't necessarily mean you can squeeze the finished box into that space...

thats not a problem I will re-measure the height when I see him. Those are just the MAX dimensions he has to work with, but like I said I will re-measure. The box cant be the size of the dimensions because it wont fit, but I just wanted to give you guys the dimensions we have to work with. Let me know what you guys are thinking

thanks

The Dimensions given will fit perfect in the car once in, but to get in is a different story. I have measurements and a picture of the entrance of the car.

Let me know if it helps.
