yes that box is under the window line. I currently have a box for one of them. 7 cubes. I dont like it tho at all. its not hitting as hard as it should. dont get me wrong tho but it is loud. last run i had at the meeter was around 143 with 2k power to one sub with the same box. However i did have the proper wiring on my car done. Now i do 3 runs of 0 gauge, 1 yellow top an a high amp alt. I was just looking to kill a weekend and just test out this new box. and see what kind of numbers i could do. I am willing to go bigger, but i just that kind of guy who wants to see out the back window as i drive. I do a lot of high way driving on the 400 and it not a safe place.

The current box is tuned at 42hz, it hitting its highs and lows. I do have an extra 10" in the back though. the box would then reach from the back seat to the tail gate. i would have the get rid of the lip on each end or i will not be able to get it in the car.

from everywhere ive read the HK ma audio IS loud but sound terrible. and prob y your not getting the type of bass you want.

hows the bracing in the box???? i would say like ross resin inside. i would prob put a round aero port as big as you can go to reduce air turbulance and eddies.

also is that box just sitting in the trunk??? if so i would put 4 bolts through the box and the floor soo you can bolt it to the vehicle to make sure that it really doesnt move and loose energy

something is wrong... 143db with 2k power on two 18"s?

you dont have enough air space. your gonna need AT LEAST 8 cubes after all displacements tuned to around 40hz (subs up port back)
