i decided to build a sealed box. So would too many cubic feet inside the box hurt the subs?

It wont hurt your subs but it you will loose bass in certain frequencys, check this site out: http://www.diysubwoofers.org/faq.htm this will explain it for you, you should build the box to what the manufacture suggests.

ya i have been using it and it came out with 7cubic feet to tune it to 35hz so the box's demensions would have to be 37.5X 15X 26 inches

Interesting driver....the Fs of 26.9hz is pretty low for a 10" sub...having said that.....

Tried it in a couple of different box programs and the verdict seems to be to stay sealed. That figure of 2.394cuft is the VAS of the driver, not a recommended enclosure size. The peak in the response curve for the sealed box at 1 to 2 cuft/sub is bigger than some I've seen in ported models for other subs. In the interest of keeping it listenable (and having it fit in something smaller than my van..... ) I would stick to a sealed 6cuft box. The curve is still there, but it's a lot flatter than the smaller box, and the -3db down point of 28hz is very low.

It sounds like you have lots of space in the trunk, so.....36"w X 14"h X 22"d gets you close and a couple of braces to stop any panel flex will fill in the rest.

Watch your power, with that much air behind them it will be relatively easy to over-drive the subs.

Let us know what you decide to do, I'm curious to hear what your results are like......nothing like cutting up some MDF for an over-the-top box for some off-brand subs......

HTH

Well i finally got time to work on my box and an amp rack so here are the pics. I shortened the box so it would fit better. and made the amp rack so i could get the spare out if i need to. I still need to put the bamboo on the front and hook everything up + i want to put a light behind the amp and on shining onto the front of it im thinking red. I already have blue ones on the inside.
