new box build. design needed please?...

hey guys I'm wanting to build another sub box this year for my car... i know the one i built last year is set really really low... and well too lazy to make a new one till now. BUT... was woundering if someone could make up a quick design for me... one that was maybe set for 30-35Hz. I have 2 12" MTX subs powered by a 600W MTX amp.
I don't know the exact modle number of the subs. but if i need to i'll post a picture. all i know is that there older... i've had them for about a year and a half and my friend b4 had them for a while... so there prolly about 3 or 4 years old. but still work GREAT!

Here is the size i can work with. cannot be any bigger. ported please.
36"Long x 16" High x 14" Deep

I would design it myself but i have no idea how to design a properly tuned box, but i can build it lol.

your going to need to post the actual model number, If you take the subs out there may be a model number on the basket somewhere.

Unfortunately like Jalat said, you don't have enough space. How big is your other box? There's no way its ported really low. If it is, then you've choked it out with VERY little internal volume. They're looking for about 2 cuft each. With them dimensions you'd be lucky to get 1.5 each and not enough port area....

hmm... well someone guessed at what it was set to and he said somewhere near 15Hz... it's less then 3 foot long, it's about 12" deep and i think 14" tall... and there's a port on either side that are about 1" wide and height of the box and about 2 feet long or so... but if about 2 cuft is needed... how long should my port be?

Use RE calculator, it's not super accurate but will get you by, and is a good visual.

Input the following in the red spaces:

36, 16, 18, 18, .75, 3.5, 2

This is close to were you want to be. I'd go bigger port area, but then your box will have to be even larger.

You need about 2cuft per sub. Even with the proper port length, it will choke out the lows if there isn't enough internal volume. You'd get better response using one 12" properly ported than using 2 12's choked out. Or... build the bigger box...

2", that gives you about 4cuft after displacements and 34.5hz or so tuning... I guarantee this will sound WAY better than your old box.

20" gives you 3.5cuft around 28.8hz. That's super low tuning.
