opinions: sound deadening material inside a box
so i built a new box got rid of my 4 10'' pioneers and bought 2 10'' pioneer premier 10'' 4ohm dvc's 800watts rms each. while building the box we were tapping on the box and thought dynamat might make the box a little tighter. so i slapped a bunch in there, and it works pretty good, the only problem is all my tones are gone, songs that used to be real loud in my car are non existant. but then some songs punch me in the back of the head. could this be the sound material or the port ( going from 4 10'' to 2 10'') should i peel this outta the box? has anyone tried this before?

the spec's for the sub reccomended sound deadener in the manual, but i don't think it's ment for spl, i'm not trying to seal it, just tighten the bass so it hits harder, i'd like to mic it before i rip it out, and after( cause i really want to change the port) so i may redo the box. i'm thinking it's the port too. it's 2 inches wide, 9 inches tall and 15.5 inches long, the subs are equally spaced apart and the port is on the driver side.( i'd have to remeasure the dimensions to be sure but i think that right)

yo chris u shouldn't put and dampening inside the box if ur trying to seal it u shoulda taken the aluminum tape or tuck tape to the joins outside the box and resined the inside when it was done. and ur tuning is probly different, i have a little shitty mic u can use to check it out if u want

well it's for daily listening, not 3 seconds a week.lol! you need to hear it it's loud, i just want more notes back, i listen to it to work and back, and live in brantford and work in hamilton, so it needs to last.
