port too close to bottom? effects?

All resin'd and put together now.
Ports raised 3/4" with another baffle, and the subs are recessed 3/4"

Since the port baffle was so tall, I thought I'd add some speed holes..
It's actually for wire management, should help hide the mess of wires that make things things look messy IMO

I'll get a quick pic of the box in the van, when it's wired up .

if this is in a van you would get better results with ports firing back and subs up.

lol...yeah thanks Yuli!! Red - He did actually tell me that before, I agreed.

but, the problems is that the "rules" of the van goes like this, if the lady can see it, she'll complain about it . OOHH and she will!!!

So EVERYTHING must remain functional(back seat in and working) and all gear behind the seat out of sight. With the ports up , it seemed like the best way to get the sound from the back, to the front with the back row seats still up, we'll but them down for comps, but the van really is a daily driver 99% of the time so, meh..

I'm thinking of doing different box sometime this summer thats more SPL oriented. Just need a new old car first
