Re audio se 10" enclosure help

Do any of you guys have experience with the re se 10. I have 2 of them in a sealed enclosure that's about .75 c.f per sub. They just don't sound that great and they sure aren't loud enough. I would like to build a ported box for them but not sure on size and tuning. This is what I have to work with.
2 re se10
jl 1000/1 amp and 0 gauge wire
ford ranger ext. cab
max. space is 40 x 14 x 14
I listen to a mix of music with most of it being rock or rap so I still want some sq.

If anyone has done a setup like this in a ranger what is the best size enclosure and tuning. Also the best way to fire subs and port for good sound quality but loud. Thanks

do you know that this will sound good with all music. This is what I was thinking but I thought subs forward port forward. If I built it square I guess I could flip it around to see whats best. What about port area ? would 12 1/2 x 3 be good or is that too much
