With limited power, cone area > quality of subwoofer

Ok, I went ahead and did it, and surprisingly it actually sounds pretty darn good. I know, taking chances with the amp, but I didn't pay much. Running them in parallel, 1.5 - 2Ohm bridged. You'll all laugh at my budget system, but heck, it works for now.

I've not carpeted the box or anything, actually am not too worried how it looks, more so the functionality of it. I'll take some pics of it tonight.

Oh ye of little faith. So far so good. I've had volume up so speakers getting pushed nicely, and there's not alot of heat on the amp. More heat would indicate to me that its lifespan will be short.

Will have to see, again, if amp gives in, I'll save up and get a better amp.

Here's a couple pics. Amp was a bit hot, but heat disapating ok, wonder if I could wire in a couple fans on the rear shelf, so that they come on when ignition is on.

Sure.....Wire a relay for them to the power for the amp and use the remote line to turn them on......they will draw too much power to run off the remote line directly.....

If you were going to wire the amp like that you probably should have just used the 2 Pyles and ported them.....the amp would like the 2ohm load a little more than the 1.33ohm load it has to deal with now......
