Post Regular Cab Truck Sub Box

Hello,
This is my first post so first ill introduce myself. My name is Jamie and I have been into the cars and car audio scene for the past probably 6 years. My new project in progress is a 2003 GMC Sierra Regular Cab Shortbox truck. I had previously run 3 Alpine Type R 10's in the trunk of my Mustang in a sealed box and I loved the way it sounded. I am selling the Type R's as I realize it is very unlikely I can build a suitable box behind the seat in the truck. So I will probably will be picking up the new Type R 10's (they are almost an inch shallower - 5 7/8" if im not mistaken) if I can build a box suitable for them because I loved my old ones.

I build my own boxes and want to build a sealed/ported enclosure for behind the seats of the truck. Ideally I would like to put two 10's in separate boxes behind either seat and have my amp in the middle. I want to go ported if i can which leads me to my question.

Where should I orientate the ports on each box? I am personally thinking of putting one round port in the far corner of each box so the port would force air into the back corner of each side of the cab. But anywho enough rambling, if anybody has any feedback or suggestions that would be great. ill try get pictures tomorrow if i can figure out how.
Thanks in advance

I'd do a blow through and put your existing subs in the bed.

If you are set on putting them in the cab, better measure it out first. You may need to reconsider your choice of woofer.

I do need a full box as a I am an avid snowmobiler and need to be able to haul the sled in the box so I cannot sacrifice any box space.

The actual sub is not too important I just want some nice solid deep bass in the truck. The dimensions i measure are about 10-11" deep on the bottom and about 8" deep on the top. There is about 12-13" of height. I can get about 21" across on each side for each woofer. Works out to around 1.0 cubic foot per sub probably a bit less. I am not committed to anything yet as I want to have good sound over trying to get a specific sub. I have about 300-400 CND to spend on subs if you have anything specific in mind.

You may want to look at a pair of shallow mount 10"s in a sealed enclosure.

I've had success with the Rockford Fosgate P3 shallow mount

How much power are you going to be running?

I am running a PG Ti 400.2 so probably ~450 watts RMS at 2 ohms I think I am not for sure tho. It pounded my 3 Type R 10's pretty hard so I am not worried about juice. I may run a Kicker 700.5 if i cannot find a good place to mount my 4 channel amp but as of now I am planning to use my Ti 400.2.

Good power then.. if you have the room I'd probably space the box in from the sides of the truck and fire the vent's out the side - just make sure there is enough room so you don't restrict the port.

I have decided I am going to be running two PG RSD 10" i have sitting unused at my house. They are decently shallow and still got 350wrms. The big thing was I looked at those shallow subs and the frequency range doesnt get very low. I am going to do a sealed box due to space limitations and not risk hurting the sub having too small of a box. Round 1 of box building commences tomorrow I hope.

After trying to find a place to mount my second amp I ended up building a ported box for 1 10" woofer. It is about .9cu. Lets just say I am amazed at how much sound I got out of 1 sub and I cant wait to put one of the new slimline type r's in there and see how much it thumps.
Don't mind the wiring... or how dirty it is haha. This was just testing phase. I gotta mount the distribution block and change the scheme of things. Just wanted to test it.
